Artistic Approach

Because he was raised on a farm, Mr.Douville has developped a close relationship with nature, particulary animals. Drawing has been a constant passion from his early years up to the present, providing a solid basis to his sculptural approach. Mr.Douville is fascinated by animals: he is strongly inspired by their behavior, their body language, their struggle for life. A self-taught artist, he started with human subjects, but quickly concentrated on his true inspiration: wildlife, mainly mammals. His works have been featured in prestidigious shows and expositions, including Art Expo Toronto, Art Expo Las Vegas, Art Expo New York, and Le Salon des Indépendants au Grand Palais de Paris. Now, his rapidly growing recognition has brought his name and works in magazines, exhibitions and collections around the world.
